Sustainability coaches and consultants give informed, customised advice which balances their clients’ immediate financial responsibilities and long-term sustainability . Working closely with management teams, they help develop and implement sustainability strategies. Specific duties may vary depending on the needs of their clients.

Common coaching and consulting activities include:

• Assessing clients’ current practices, goals and limitations, and suggest ways they can operate more sustainably
• Evaluating clients’ environmental, economic, and social impact, which may include energy and water use, carbon footprint, etc.
• Proposing achievable sustainability strategies that fit within each client’s budget and custom requirements
• Helping clients develop long-term sustainability plans
• Teaching stakeholders and clients’ employees about sustainability
• Providing ongoing support to clients

No.  While Terena is only fluent in English, she works closely with other certified sustainability coaches and auditors who are fluent in Albanian, and can schedule coaching and training sessions with a native Albanian speaker.
